Surfaces
The surfaces of Witex laminate floorings consist of up to three layers. The uppermost layer consists of a particularly durable melamine resin that protects the floor from mechanical wear. The surface texture of this layer varies depending on the collection and the design. Apart from textured wooden pores there are also soft surfaces and fine wooden pores manufactured either in varying degrees of gloss or with a matte finish.
The second layer consists of resin-treated decor paper displaying reproductions of wood, tiles or imaginative designs. An electron-beam-hardened, tinted paper is used in the “color” laminate flooring collection.
The “grande” and “piazza” collections are fitted with the DPL+ system that was invented by Witex. In this system, a resin-based strengthening layer is pressed underneath the decor layer, making the flooring especially hard-wearing. This type of flooring is particularly suitable for commercial use, and comes with a 5-lifetime guarantee.
